2 Corinthians 3:17, Amplified Bible

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

(emancipation from bondage, true freedom)”

I love going to the liquor store.

You read that correctly.

I specifically love going to the one in town where the oppression is palpable.

Here’s why…

I have been saved, delivered and set free from the demon of alcoholism for almost seven years now. Not one craving, desire, or thought since the Lord broke off those chains.

I do, however, make all of my own medication for Kingdom Come Home products from flowers, herbs, roots, and propolis. This process requires alcohol to extract the medicinal properties from the plant. It can then be dropped into boiling water to remove all traces of alcohol before taking it.

Let’s be clear about something - this isn’t witchcraft. Big Pharma is.

Anyway, I digress …

Here’s why I love going into the liquor store.

Because it never fails when I put ten bottles of vodka, and six bottles of Everclear on the counter I am going to hear….

“Wow, where’s the party?”

I chuckle and reply…

“I wouldn’t drink this stuff for all the money in the world.”

And that’s where evangelism begins.

Each and every time I share the goodness of God. I share my testimony of being set free from alcoholism. I talk about the laying on of hands, deliverance, and that Jesus can set anyone free.

He’s willing if you are.

I will explain what I do, and why I have ten bottles of vodka, and six bottles of Everclear.

And every single time, the Holy Spirit makes Himself known in the liquor store.

It’s an evangelism opportunity I don’t miss.

Should everyone who’s been set free of alcoholism walk into a liquor store?

No.

Wisdom is knowing your assignment, and only going where the Spirit of the Lord sends you.

But He and I enjoy releasing truth in the liquor store. He never ceases to amaze me – and everyone in the store!

The look on their faces is priceless. I watch seeds that have been lying dormant for ten, twenty, forty years start to take root.

I always get an “amen,” or “that’s true,” or “my grandmama used to lay hands.”

God is good, and He is able! Release some truth into this lost and dying world today.

That’s our assignment.
